Taking screenshots of computers/websites.
By MeetHere | November 23, 2007
I used to get amazed when I see screen shots of various desktop scenes or of log-on or log-off screens. I always wonder how these people take screen shots of such portions. I was also in search of some program to take screen shots of various websites or a part of screen so that i can point things on my blog.
What I used to do previously is - Take a snap of the webpage or desktop screen with my favorite Canon PowerShot SD750 digital camera ( which I bought after reading some reviews about various Digital cameras ) , upload it in my computer, cut/edit it in MS paint and then past it on my site. Too tedious it was.
Then I found various screen capture softwares that makes this task easy. Currently i am using screengrab extension for firefox - works great.
Though I am still confused how to take screenshots of computer start-up and shut-down screens ? Do they follow same trick as mine ![]()

One word about how to take a screenshot of a computer starting-up or shutting-down: VMWARE
How it was done before, I don´t know (digital cameras, yeah, I´ve seen a few of those…)
