- Buying banner ads on popular sites
- Buying Text link ads or sponsored reviews on related sites
- Viral marketing, Social media marketing
- Pay Per Click and Affiliate campaings
- Search Engine optimization
Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a way to optimize your site in such a way to get good rankings on various search engines. It includes various things like :
- Keyword Research and Keyword Trends
- Search count and analysis
- Optimized article writing
- Building Meta-tags
- Link building with targetted anchor keyword
- Valid html/php coding
First of all it requires lot of time to study above mentioned things. And secondly you should correctly do SEO according to search engine guidelines or you might get banned for not following rules. In such cases, you can hire a SEO company to do your internet marketing work while you can concentrate on your core business.

I agree with you, but I think that you should also mention discussion forums. I get a lot of traffic from various discussion forums, and this is targetted and free traffic.
When it comes to keywords, I use Micro Niche Finder, an awesome software that I highly recommend.

SEO is by the far the best because of the sheer volum of traffic it can drive to your site (depending on your keywords of course). It’s not juts the traffic from the SE’s either, the traffic from the links you create along the way is also usually high. Viral marketing can also be extremely effective, especially if you use a free e-book laiden with linsk to you, because the quality of the traffic will be immense.

Well I just want to ask how do you create a buzz with press release.Any tips for it.
Directory submission is good for both traffic and SEO. You should have considered that too.

I understand it is a pure advertisement for the secapio.com. If the article was more informational, people wold know there are ways to get links free, to get free traffic to your site… I don’t believe there are no free ways, but I don’t argue, they take too much time. If you can’t wait, go and hire specialists.

I agree that what you mentioned really generate traffic, but it will also help the bookmarking submission and also rss feed submission.
